As head coach of the Maties team Pierre has consistently produced swimmers at the highest level of junior and senior swimming. Among others, he has coached two Olympians, two Paralympic medalists including a Paralympic champion, a Junior World champion and a Commonwealth silver medalist, Multiple swimmers under his guidance have swum at World Long and Short course championships as well as World University Games.

In his role as performance director of the newly established Lane Leader swim team, he continues to ensure a holistic team ethos and excellence in the pool. Lane Leader has already produced a Paralympian and two World Junior Champs qualifiers in their first season.
